Description

A parade on First Center Avenue looking North. A note on the photo says first appearance of the Brodhead Band for "officer of the day". The church at the center of the photo is the Baptist Church. It later became the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and after that the Gospel Hall. It is now a quilt shop. The first building on the right has a sign that says The White Restaurant. The third building which would be at 1016 First Center Avenue is marked as Searles & Son and the last building is The Independet, which was the newspaper and is 1018 First Center Avenue. Across the street is a sign for Dr. Davis - Dentist.
