Description
The photo shows two tobacco sheds thought to be in Brodhead Wisconsin. Tobacco growing and marketing was a large part of Brodhead's economy from 1880 through the early 1900's. There were several tobacco sheds in the city. William M. Fleek manufactured cigars and employed 40 workers. The last people to to grow tobacco in Brodhead was the C. T. Pfisterer and Jake Pfisterer familys in late 1950's and early 1960's.
