Dedrick and Marty Hardware was located at 1024 First Center Avenue in Brodhead Wisconsin, now the location of Deb's Bar. The photo was at the location of the store when it first started. Fred Marty is on the left and Frank H. Dedrick is on the right. The business was one of the oldest in Brodhead. The store was established by George T. Spaulding in 1870. He sold it to Metcalf and Serman in 1883. It became Sherman and Moore in 1884. R. C. Murdock bought the partnership and ran it until 1900. It was then bought by William Cobb and L. Brooks. Brooks soon took sole ownership and in 1916 sold it to Dedrick and Marty. They moved the business one store north to 1022 First Center Avenue, now Jeremy Pinnow & Associates. Frank H. Dedrick's son Frank W. joined the firm in 1935 and took over the business from his father. Frank W.'s son Brain joined the firm in 1971.
