The Brodhead Historical Society hosts guest speakers during their monthly meetings and are open during community festivals.
2026 Schedule
Meetings are held on the last Monday of the month at 7 pm at the Brodhead Depot Museum unless otherwise noted in the Knight Addition of the Depot Museum.

March 30 – Brodhead native Bill Pfisterer will be speaking about his experiences teaching in Alaskan villages 60 years ago. Please note that this meeting will be held at the Brodhead library, not at the Depot Museum.
April
April 27 – Eileen Daniels, Brodhead textile artist and retired home economics teacher, will present “Vintage Textiles and Family Stories”.
May
May 18 – Sneak preview of the museum exhibits for 2026. Please note that this meeting will not be the last Monday of the month, due to the Memorial Day holiday.
May 25 – Memorial Day & The Depot Museum opens up to the public!
June
June 29 – Brodhead Historical Society president Jaine Winters will give a presentation in honor of the 250th birthday of the United States.
July
July 27 – Kim and Doug Buehl, Monticello, will speak on the rejuvenation of the historic Monticello Woolen Mill.
August
August 31 – Meeting & JBob Block, Oregon, will give a presentation on Wisconsin POW camps.
August 7-9th – Covered Bridge Days – Open August 8 & 9, 9:00a – 4:00p, Historical Wagon Tours

September 1 – Museum Closed for Labor Day
September 28 – Meeting & John Oschner, Albany, will speak on the 1986-87 archeological dig at the site of the 1832 Jules DeMun trading post. The trading post was located on the Sugar River between Brodhead and Albany.

October 5 – Autumn Fest, Open 9:00a-4:00p
The Depot Museum closes for the winter.
October 27 – Meeting & “Show and Tell” is our annual invitation to bring an item to share with meeting attendees. Please bring an artifact or a family story to tell. (This is also the annual meeting with board member elections.)
